Our third week, September 10 - 14, 2012

This week is Color Week. We will dress in a different color  each day. Please do not buy new clothes for color week, just wear what you have!  This will be a fun way to get kids interested in practicing  handwriting.

Monday starts our first week with homework. The kids are expected to read 15 to 20 minutes each night as one part of their homework. We will be sending level readers home soon. Please continue to read to and with your child for enjoyment, outside of their assigned reading time. The students will have homework in other subject areas, as well as their Monday through Friday reading. Students who are unable to complete their homework the night it is assigned,  will be given extra work time during recess.

Book club orders will be sent home on Monday. The completed order forms will be due back on Friday. Make sure your child's name is on each form. Please write ONE check to Scholastic Book Clubs no matter how many of the clubs you order from. We will soon have the online ordering available for parents.

We understand following the new rules at parent drive can be frustrating, but the rules are truly to keep your children safe and the line moving. You have our heart felt thanks for displaying your last name in the window so we can get the correct kids to the cars quickly. Thank you all for not walking over and trying to pick your kids up from the hardtop.

We look forward to a wonderful year together. Parents and teachers must work together in order for students to be successful. Please email if you have any questions or concerns.
